ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Ms. Brenda Davila. I am a dyslexia teacher working at Villa Nueva Elementary delighted to be working with wonderful Blue Jay students. I was previously a 4th grade teacher for 4 years and a 3rd grade teacher for 2 more years before I made the best decision of working with such a special group of talented students as I have!
Although children diagnosed with dyslexia often display difficulties in spelling or basic reading skills, they have extraordinarily bright minds. They also have other attributes that make them unique: curiosity, strong imagination, enjoy solving puzzles, excellent listening comprehension, out-of-the-box thinkers, strong reasoning skills, etc.

Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes them universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don't just give up." |
